Ducted air conditioners are also known as Central Air Conditioner. Air is sent through ducts from one central location to heat and cool all rooms. All rooms are air conditioned uniformly at the same temperature settings.
Ducted air conditioners comprise of two units, indoor and outdoor unit. The indoor unit is usually installed in the roof and the outdoor unit is usually placed on the ground, on the flat roof or against a wall on brackets.
The two units are connected by piping which is fed through the wall. Ducted air conditioning is referring to having rigid metal ducts, flexible ducts, diffusers, grilles, and other ductwork to distribute the air from an air conditioner to a room or many rooms.
